Oct. 28-31 Student Conference on Hunger and Homelessness!

This October 28-31, the 12th Annual Conference of the National Student 
Campaign Against Hunger and Homelessness will bring together 500 students 
and 
university staff to learn more about the issues, develop leadership skills, 
share ideas and adopt a plan of action to fight hunger and homelessness.

Some highlights of the Conference include: 

* 80 Workshops focused on campus and community programs, campaigns, and 
skills building.
* The Faces of Homelessness Panel.
* Panel discussions on international issues, public and private efforts to 
address poverty, urban and rural challenges, a legislative update, and 
opportunties and struggles of the new millenium.
* An Oxfam Hunger Banquet with all 500 participants.
* Opportunities Fair -- learn about internship and career opportunities and 
new ideas.
* You and students from across the country.
* Participating groups, including National Coalition for the Homeless, 
Oxfam 
America, Habitat for Humanity, Alliance for Justice, Bread for the World, 
AmeriCorps, COOL, and many others.  
* Entertainment.
