Service Learning in Los Angeles

Hello.

I am working with a group of about 25 students who will be going to Los
Angeles from December 13-20, 2003 on an Alternative Winter Break. We have
done this experience before and had great success with some of the local
service sites including Homeboys Industries, Project Angelfood; A Place
Called Home, etc. I was wondering if anyone could recommend any other sites
that would be good to focus on issues related to the challenges of "inner
city" life and/or AIDS. Ideas for cultural exploration such as the Museum
of Tolerance, Chinatown, etc. would also be appreciated.

Thank you,
