how to respond to today's events?

To the Service-Learning Community--
        I'm sure that all of us on college campuses are swamped with
attending to students in the midst of  today's tragic events, but I wanted
to pass along that some of our students here in Pennsylvania are already
saying that they want to DO SOMETHING so they don't feel helpless.  They've
suggested emergency blood drives as many blood banks will likely need to tap
out their supplies to send out to New York and Washington and wherever else
there may be a need.  If folks have other ideas about things college
students can do, please pass them on.
