JOB POSTING
The Center for Service Leadership at College Misericordia invites applicants 
for the position of AmeriCorp VISTA.  The VISTA will work with the Center staff 
to participate in implementation of the strategic plan.  Specific duties will 
include:
Collaborating with the Office of Financial Aid and the Insalaco's Center for 
Career Development in coordination of work student placements for the "America 
Reads" program
Support the "America Reads" program via the development and implementation of a 
tutor training program for students.
Assist in the development of an "America Counts" program including developing 
the training program and assisting in placement and coordination
Designing orientation programs for students, coordinate placements and 
supervise academic service learning experiences
Assist in collection and analysis of data related to service learning
Work with faculty to develop and/or modify courses for service learning
Assist with investigation of international opportunities for service learning.

The successful candidate will have completed a college degree.  Community based 
experience is preferred.  Excellent communications skills are required.  The 
position requires a full year commitment with flexible scheduling.

The employment package includes $8,998.08 living allowance, a $4,725 education 
award or monthly stipend after completion of the year, campus housing, medical 
coverage, child care benefits, 2 weeks personal time, sick leave.  Review of

date is November 10.  A three day pre-service orientation is required (November
