>Program Director, Project SERVE

>BASIC FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITY
>To support student leadership teams that oversee Project SERVE programs
>through advising, outreach, leadership training, education, and fostering
>community.
>
>CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
>Provide primary advising to Project SERVE student leadership teams.
>
>Provide cross-team functional advising in areas such as
>fundraising/finance, education/training, public relations, site
>development, and evaluation
>
>Provide opportunities for student learning and leadership
>
>Work closely with student support staff in office administration and
>program management.
>
>Represent Project SERVE among student groups and university units
>campuswide.
>
>Participate as a staff member of the Ginsberg Center for Community
>Service and Learning.
>
>Promote the Center's mission of strengthening student learning,
>involving the faculty, and building University-community partnerships
>
>Seek out and participate in professional development and networking
>opportunties
>
>Other duties as assigned
>
>SUPERVISION RECEIVED
>Direction is received from the Director of Project SERVE
>
>SUPERVISION EXERCISED
>Supervision is exercised over student assistants, graduate interns, and
>support staff
>
>PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS:
>Masters degree in student personnel, social work, or related field
>desired; bachelors degree and equivalent experience required;
>
>Experience in student advising and leadership development;
>
>Experience in program development and implementation;
>
>Experience in the areas of community service and social action;
>
>Ability to collaborate and work with diverse groups;
>
>Demonstrated respect for students;
>
>Oral and written communication skills;
>
>Willingness to work evening and weekend hours as needed.
