Re: Resources on Faith and Learning

Joy,
Someone recently asked me a very related question so I thought I'd pass on
the resources I found for him. Some resources may not be directly related
to your need, but then again maybe they will be.
Organizations (web sites):
Council for Spiritual and Ethical Education

Books/Articles
Grounded in Justice: Service Learning from a Faith Perspective. New
Directions for Student Services, n50 p77-90 1990
Author(s): Erin D. Swezey
Abstract:
This chapter explores how community service within campus religious life
can encourage, support, and challenge students' spiritual development, and
in particular the development of faith during their college experience.
Swezey looks at Westerhoff''s styles of faith (experienced, affiliative,
searching, and owned), Park's Model for Faith, and integrating
campus-ministry programs with the Service Learning Model.

suggestions for using the program, a suggested first faculty meeting
outline, an introduction to the module, outlines of five meetings,
materials which can be duplicated, a suggested final faculty meeting, and a

**There seem to be several in this "As We Teach We Learn" series that might
be of interest to you. I won't list them all but all are ERIC documents,
and are probably available through your college's library.
I hope this helps! Ann
