The Points of Light Foundation will be holding a national training seminar in
Orlando Florida on December 5-6, 1997--Friday & Saturday "Moving Young People
from Participants to Decision Makers" This two-day event is designed for
youth service coordinators, teachers, team leaders, youth workers and
Volunteer Center staff. This training will explore the benefits and barriers
of involving young people as leaders; concrete ways to support and encourage
youth leadership; and various models of youth voice such as youth on boards
and developing youth advisory councils. There are only 25 spaces available,
