"PRESTIGOUS NATIONAL CORO FELLOWSHIP NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
If you are committed to public service and would like to build on your
community service experiences in college, the Coro Fellows Program in Public
Affairs may be a critical "next step" in your career. Founded in 1942, Coro
is recognized nationally as one of the best training programs for leaders in
all sectors of public life. Coro is now accepting applications for the
1998-99 Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs, a nine-month, full-time
program offered each year in New York, San Francisco, St. Louis, and Los
Angeles. This remarkable fellowship opportunity may be of interest to
college seniors and individuals with some work experience who are committed
to improving this nation's system of democratic self-governance.
Fellows engage in field assignments, seminars, and group and independent
public service projects, and interact with leaders who influence life in the
public, private and non-profit sectors. Fellows acquire an in-depth
understanding of how leaders work to solve some of society's most complex
problems.
The application deadline is February 11, 1998 for the 1998-99 Coro Fellows
Program which begins in September 1998. Our web page address is "www.coro.org"
