>PBHA, Inc., a student-run, staff-supported, human service and social
>action organization based at Harvard College, is seeking an experienced,
>dynamic professional to work with 10,000 clients in Boston and Cambridge
>and 1,700 student volunteers in over 70 public service programs.

>The Executive Director is responsible to the Board of Trustees for the
>general management and supervision of PBHA. Duties include overseeing
>programmatic operations involving youth, elderly, homeless, advocacy, and
>adult education; developing and maintaining community relations; managing
>PBHA staff; supporting and mentoring student officers and volunteers;
>managing fundraising and development projects, including a capital
>campaign; and developing a long-term financial plan. Also responsible for
>implementing standards for safety, fiscal integrity, and the law, jointly
>reporting in these areas to Board of Trustees and the Assistant Dean for
>Public Service.

>Successful applicants will have a bachelors degree and a masters degree in
>a relevant field and five years experience in progressively responsible
>positions in management of related organizations or programs, or
>equivalent experience. The Executive Director will also demonstrate
>knowledge of human service and social action volunteer programs,
>evaluation and assessment techniques, philanthropic fundraising, Board
>participation and development, staff supervision, and superior
>communication and negotiation skills. A strong desire to work closely
>with students is essential.
