Does any on the list know of any previous or on going longitudinal studies on
the efffect of service learning particpation by students in the areas of
personal and professional growth and development? I am doing my "Tenure
Project" on Service Learning and would like to begin such a study as part of
the project.
Harry S. Truman College is a highly diverse, inner-city (Chicago) community
college. We have had a SL program for about four years and have just
recently "institutionalized" the program by establishing a standing committee
with a 20h/hr week work study student assigned to us. I have done a lot of
looking at various web sites on and about SL. I would like some input from a
"real" person.
