Thanks for the posting over the listserve.
In response to your second concern over what about those agencies who
don't attend these very interesting sounding community partners forums,
have you ever tried surveying those agencies who do not attend? They may
need a follow up call as well.
In the survey, these agencies could be asked why they didn't attend. It
maybe due to resource/staff time constraints in which case they could be
forwarded notes from the forum. This may get them more interested for
subsequent forums.
These agencies may also proclaim their disinterest in university
students. This would be an excellent opportunity to win their support
over for university volunteers.
Finally, these agencies may think these forums do not adequately address
their needs. In this case, you would be able to address their input as
to how these forums could in the future address their needs.
The only drawback to this response to this second question is the amount
of staff time that would be needed to conduct this survey immediately
following a staff heavy time managing the forum.
