Allow me to introduce myself. My name is John Burke and I am
a scholarship student in the Bentley Service-Learning Center at
Bentley College in Waltham, MA. I am currently undertaking a project
, and I was wondering if anyone might be able help me.
The first part of my project is called the "Collegiate
Service-Learning Collaborative." Basically, it is an effort to bring
together community oriented students together to get to know one
another and to share in our experiences. Hopefully down the road we
will be able to perform projects together to better serve our
communities. This year I am focusing on schools that are
involved with the Campus Compact. The Compact will provide me with a
strong base o schools that are already involved in service.
The second part of my service is to create a list serve to
open up lines of communications between service-learning students.
My questions for you are:
Have you ever heard of anything like these projects
before?
How have they worked out?
Who could I contact about these projects if they have
been done?
Any suggetions? Ideas? Comments?
