Seeking Part Time Program Director for Anderson Y Center, Stockton, CA,
affiliated with Univ. of the Pacific serving as a service-learning
bridge between the campus and the greater community.

Responsibilities include:
Offering leadership with students and the members of the board of
directors in developing and managing student directed programs;
Managing the day to day management of the center in a sensitive,
welcoming and inclusive manner;
Providing training and support to volunteers in carrying out the
functions of the non-profit corporation;
Preparing grant applications, monitoring funded programs, serving as
a liaison with fundors and community groups.
Skills needed are:
Keen sense of direction/priorities/imagination stemming from vision,
mission, purpose, goals, principles;
High level of intuition;
Exceptional written/oral communication;
Extraordinary resilience;
Willingness and the ability to creatively develop resources;
Infinite patience, kindness, openness, tolerance, gentleness, joy,
trust, defenselessness, generosity;
Proven ability to work with diverse groups of people in a variety of
settings;
A great sense of humor.
Hours: Varied --50% FTE -- around student and campus/community
volunteer schedules.
Compensation: Modest, negotiable.
Other important information:
Applicant needs to enjoy working with families and children, have the
ability to relate to teachers, counselors, administrators, be an
insatiable learner, have a strong social entrepreneurial streak, love to
dance and have a passion for mashed potatoes, pigs ears and cutting red
tape. Other talents should include enjoy working with computers,
budgets, and finances. Master's degree in an appropriate field is
desirable.
