Action Without Borders-Idealist.org (AWB) is a nonprofit organization that
connects people, organizations and resources to help build a world where
all people can live free and dignified lives. Based in NYC, with offices in
Philadelphia, Boston and Charlottesville, AWB is independent of any
government, political ideology or religious creed. Our work is guided by
the common desire of our members and supporters to find practical solutions
to social and environmental problems, in a spirit of generosity and mutual
respect.

Idealist.org is the most comprehensive online resource for the nonprofit
sector. More than 37,000 nonprofit organizations from 165 countries use
Idealist to promote job, volunteer and internship opportunities, events,
resources and services they provide. The site attracts over 25,000 unique
visitors daily.

For the past seven years, AWB has been developing an ever stronger presence
on college and university campuses across the country, with a specific
focus on making nonprofit and socially responsible careers more visible to
college students and recent graduates.

In doing this work, we have often collaborated with COOL (Campus Outreach
Opportunity League) - http://www.cool2serve.org -, a Boston-based
organization that since 1984 has aimed to catalyze and support the
involvement of students and campuses in community service and activism.

COOL is now joining forces with Action Without Borders. This merger will
create a powerful partnership that can deliver the networks, content, and
resources needed to engage students and youth in volunteerism, and to
prepare them for a lifelong commitment to public service.

Our new Idealist on Campus program will provide a range of resources to
support schools, students, administrators, and the local community through
campus-based Idealist Alliances, designed to facilitate more and better
connections, both on and off campus.
