Dear SL colleagues,

Atlantic Philanthropies has announced a $798,000 grant to the Higher
Education Research Institute (HERI) to study how service-learning affects
students after they finish college and to assess the role of faculty
members in service-learning. HERI is based in the Graduate School of
Education & Information Studies at the University of California, Los
Angeles and serves as an interdisciplinary center for research,
evaluation, information, policy studies, and research training in
postsecondary education. http://www.gseis.ucla.edu/heri/heri.html
