a few questions from a new comer

Hello all,
My name is Kate and I am new to this listserv. I am the Community Learning
Assistant at Trinity College in Hartford, CT. As part of a grant given to
us by the Kellogg Foundation we are in the process of putting together a
National Conference for next fall. I was wondering if any of you out there
could answer a couple questions I have. My first, and foremost, question is
simply How many people typically attend a national conference? I imagine
many of you have participated in conferences and I am curious what the
average attendance is. My next question is a bit more general and harder to
answer, I have never put something together at so grand a scale and though I
have scoped out the websites of other national conferences they aren't
exactly bursting with planning and organizing information, they simply
inform prospective attendees about the events. If any of you out there know
of a good site, or a person to talk to concerning the organizational aspects
of a national conference, that would be greatly appreciated as well. You
can email me directly with this info.
Thanks so much all of you for your time,
Kate.
