Re: Pre-Orientation Leadership/Service Programs?

Marianne,
At James Madison University we have offered pre-orientation service
trips for 2 years. The university pays all costs. The trips are led
by students and faculty who have been leaders in our alternative spring
break program. The program was very successful in 1999 when it was
offered the week before orientation. This year two trips were offered
in late July and early August. Neither of these trips filled. The
feedback we got from students is that this broke up the summer to much
for them. Take a look at our web site:

for more information.
