** 4th Annual "CONTINUUMS OF SERVICE" Western Regional Service-Learning
Conference **

        PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS
                April 25-27, 2001

        University of California, Berkeley      

TOPICS: WRCCC's annual "Continuums of Service" conference will continue to
provide meaningful regional networking and mentoring opportunities and
provocative service and learning related workshops, discussion, and
reflection sessions especially tailored for higher education participants
and partners.  Field-generated topics to include service-learning and
faculty development, student service leadership, research, community and
higher education partnership building, pedagogy, K-H connections,
discipline-specific discussions, departmental development, evaluation,
strategic planning, reflection, and more....

ATTENDEES: Faculty, community-based partners, students, service and
service-learning staff, administrators, K-12 partners, funding agencies,
others

CALL FOR PRESENTERS:  Will be available on-line in the next few weeks.

LOCATION: As host, the University of California at Berkeley will hold the
conference a couple of miles from campus at the beautiful BERKELEY MARINA
RADISSON, located directly on the San Francisco Bay.  The full service hotel
is situated 9 miles from downtown San Francisco and offers panoramic views
of the San Francisco skyline and Golden Gate Bridge. The hotel recently
completed a $6.5 million dollar renovation.  A fantastic group rate for
