NEASEA Conference - Burlington, Vermont
19 May 1999 18:45 UTC
Hello All:
The Northeast Association of Student Employment Administrators would
like to invite you to attend our 22nd annual conference, "Rising to the
Top: Recognizing Student Employment On Campus and Beyond". It will be
held August 1-4, 1999 at the Inn at Essex, Burlington, Vermont.
The Conference Committee has been hard at work over the last several
months, preparing to bring you an exciting and informative program.
There will be sessions on everything related to student employment from
Y2K issues to self empowerment to diversity, and everything in between.
We have introduced a Buddy System to the conference this year, so if
your new to student employment or just want a little help meeting
someone new, you can have a "Buddy" assigned to you to show you the
ropes.
You really don't want to miss out on the activities and local
attractions: we'll be spending Sunday evening aboard the Spirit of
Ethan Allen II Cruise Ship on beautiful Lake Champlain. Tim Sample,
New England humorist and writer-illustrator, will be our entertainment.
On Monday, during a block of free time, we will have a bus ready to
take eager participants shopping, to tour the famous Ben & Jerry's
factory, and to dinner. The New England Culinary Institute provides
all of the meals at the Inn at Essex, and will also be offering cooking
classes and demonstrations for those of you who are interested.
Openings in the cooking classes are sure to fill up quickly, so you'll
want to register right away! There are many more things to do in
beautiful Burlington, Vermont--so much in fact, you may decide to
extend your stay just to fit them all in!
Registration fees are as follows: NEASEA Members: $285 ($305 after
July 2); Non-NEASEA Members: $340 ($365 after July 2). This price
includes all meals and activities, but does not include hotel or
travel. Partial conference registration rates are also available.
If you would like more information or to request a registration packet,
please contact me at 207/581-1349 or amy.boynton@umit.maine.edu.
