PLENARY
Please join us Tuesday evening, June 16th, 6:00-8:00 pm, for our plenary
discussion "Service-Learning in the West: Growing a Regional Perspective."
Dick Cone, Director of the Joint Education Project at the University of
Southern California, and Kim Johnson-Bogart, Assistant Dean for
Undergraduate Education at the University of Washington, will co-facilitate
what is sure to be a provocative discussion exploring the "Western
Character." What are the environmental, historical, demographic and other
forces that shape our cultural identity? What, if anything, is the shared
culture of the Western region that might support and enhance the
development of a regional service-learning consortium?
COMMUNITY KEYNOTE
We are pleased to present Margaret Ann Jozsa, Executive Director,
Neighborhood Health Clinics, Portland, OR, an experienced community
partner, who will deliver a keynote address on Thursday, June 18th focusing
on campus and community relationships.
