POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Minnesota Campus Compact
OFFICE MANAGER
Minnesota Campus Compact -- a small, dynamic non-profit
organization -- is a coalition of 45 colleges and universities
in Minnesota. The Compact supports student and institutional
involvement in community service and seeks to strengthen the
impact of that service on the welfare of communities and the
education of students in Minnesota. Compact staff provide
training, technical assistance, funding and other resources
toward these ends. The Compact is housed at the University of
St. Thomas downtown Minneapolis campus.
Duties of the Office Manager:
· Support staff through general administrative
activities. Set up meetings and complete mailings, copies,
filing, faxing, etc.
· Coordinate resource library. Order publications, file
and organize items, expand database, assist constituents
accessing materials, track flow of materials.
· Track organizations finances. Access account
information, produce reports, meet with staff to share account
activity, create and track invoices.
· Assist with events. Prepare participant packets,
track and invoice registration payments, coordinate
registration, arrange for event space, analyze evaluation
forms.
· Supervise work-study student(s). Recruit, train and
supervise student worker.
· Maintain webpage. Request updates from staff and make
changes to webpage.
· Serve as primary receptionist. Answer general phone
line, respond to phone and written requests for materials,
forward inquiries to appropriate staff members.
· Coordinate database. Enter new information; make
changes; and create forms, participant lists, labels, etc.
Qualifications:
· Extremely detail-oriented
· Previous office management and/or administrative
assistance experience
· Ability and desire to work independently
· College degree (A.A. or B.A.) preferred
· Familiarity with the following Macintosh applications:
Microsoft Word, FileMaker Pro, and web design software.
Experience using the internet.
· Good communication skills, especially working with
constituents over the telephone
· Passion for community change work and familiarity with
higher education
This is a full-time, salaried position with excellent
benefits. Annual salary is approximately $20,000.
