>The Alternative Break Citizenship Schools (ABCs) are week-long experiential
>training sessions which provide student and staff leaders from different
>campuses with the knowledge and skills necessary to build a quality
>alternative break program.

>The twist: the ABCs training components are themselves presented within the
>context of a week-long alternative break experience.

>The ABCs combine workshops, exercises, planning sessions and discussions
>with actual direct service experiences. For example, the morning may bring
>an intenstive volunteer experience with children at at local community
>center, followed by a substantive training session on site selection and
>project planning.

>The result: an experiential learning situation in which participants will
>be able to synthesize knowledge and skills gained during workshops with
