A full-time, 12-month position as Program Coordinator for Jumpstart Eau Claire 
is available to begin in July of 2002. The official title for this position is 
Instructional Program Manager. Primary responsibility is to oversee the 
day-to-day operations of the Jumpstart program which pairs Federal Work-Study 
supported college students with preschool students who are in need of 
additional help with school-readiness skills and behaviors. The Program 
Coordinator recruits, trains and manages AmeriCorps members and team leaders; 
establishes and maintains relationships with program partners; and collaborates 
with other departments/units of the university. Qualifications include a 
background in early childhood education and/or experience in an early childhood 
setting, experience with leadership development and management of college 
students, and a commitment to serving the community and promoting educational 
success for all children. Knowledge/familiarity with Jumpstart and High/Scope 
approaches may be considered an asset. BA/BS required; Masters degree in early 
childhood or related field may be considered an asset. To be assured of
