Creation of a new Course and out of class experience

Hello. I am a current Ph.D student who is working on helping to create an
undergraduate course that helps make students connect the importance of
cross-cultural understanding when (or prior to) engaging in service-learning
experiences. Additionally, I am planning an Alternative Break Experience to
go along with this course to London, England during the second to last week
of March in 2002. I am looking of a service-learning experience that could
be done in Britain that would encourage students to think about issues such
as race, class and/or religion when working with communities that may differ
significantly from ones that they might have experienced prior to the
cultural encounter.

If anyone has suggestions for the course, and/or service experiences in
Britain, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks.
