Positions with City Year San Jose/Silicon Valley

We have several openings at City Year San Jose/Silicon Valley, including
both staff positions as well as AmeriCorps positions.

Manager of Individual Giving
Academy Director (corps and staff training)
Service Manager (2 openings)(team leader for 10-15 AmeriCorps members)
Headquarters Manager

AmeriCorps members (96 positions) including the following:
* Education/Youth Development: serving as tutors, mentors, and coordinators
of after-school activities primarily in schools.(72 positions available) 
* Youth Service/Service-Learning: coordinating structured service-learning &
leadership development programs for high school and middle school students.
(12 positions available)
* Computer Technology/Bridging the Digital Divide: providing training and
support to low-income families and children on computer technology,
providing support to schools and non-profits. Extensive training will be
provided. Prior computer experience desirable but not necessary as long as
you have a high aptitude and appetite for learning. (2 year commitment, 12
positions available)

City Year is a full-time AmeriCorps program serving children and youth. We
engage young adults, ages 17 to 24, for a demanding year of full-time
community service, leadership development, and civic engagement. In San
Jose/Silicon Valley, we have about 16 staff members and plan to grow to 19
for the next program year.  

Staff positions would ideally be filled by July. Corps member positions
start August 30.
