S-L and rural community dev

Greetings and "hello again" to some of you,

I've been away from the list for a while, but it's great to become
reacquainted with all that's happening in the S-L world!  

Would any of you know where I might learn more about service-learning as a
community development strategy in rural settings?  It seems to be a topic on
which not much has yet been written.  I'm especially interested in how rural
communities have articulated and implemented S-L strategies through
community planning.  Any research or resources you might know of are
appreciated.
