Dear Colleague,

I am writing to tell you about a new website and electronic journal that is
devoted exclusively to information and scholarship about moral and civic
education in college.  CollegeValues.org includes the Journal of College and
Character and the Character Clearinghouse and can be found at
http://www.CollegeValues.org <http://www.CollegeValues.org> 

 
Featured sections include:
- feature articles by leading scholars and educators
- resources and information
- best practices and exemplary programs
- public diaries by college and university presidents
- students essays

www.CollegeValues.org also includes information about the 11th Annual
Institute on College Student Values, which will be held February 8 - 10,
2001 at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida.  The topic this
year is:  "Colleges That Care: A National Workshop on Campus Strategies for
Fostering Moral and Civic Responsibility in College Students."  The focus of
the 2001 Institute will be an examination of the educational strategies used
by leading colleges and universities that have made a major commitment to
the holistic development of moral and civic capacities in their students.
