We are pleased to announce the availability of our newest publication
CREATING COMMUNITY-RESPONSIVE PHYSICIANS: CONCEPTS AND MODELS FOR
SERVICE-LEARNING IN MEDICAL EDUCATION
Co-edited by Sarena D. Seifer, Kris Hermanns and Judy Lewis
Published by the American Association of Higher Education in cooperation
with Community-Campus Partnerships for Health, this softcover book
presents the rationale for service-learning (SL) in undergraduate and
graduate medical education, practical approaches to SL in a variety of
institutional and community contexts, and a discussion of SL assessment
strategies and outcomes. It also contains an extensive bibliography of
print and web-based resources.
Medical schools and residencies with service-learning programs described
in the book include: Dartmouth, Wright State University, George Washington
University, University of Connecticut, University of Pittsburgh, East
Tennesee State University, Morehouse, University of Washington, University
of Florida and Ohio State University.
