The National Association of Partners in Education announces a job opening:
Director, Applied Learning and Government Relations.
The position is a leadership one for NAPE around the education reform
strategies of service-learning and school-to-work. The focus of the Director
will be to 1) provide training and technical assistance on service-learning
and school-to-work, 2) inform and network with leaders from schools,
businesses, community-based organizations, governmetn and foundation, and 3)
advocate for the positioning of service-learning and school-to-work into
school curricula and public policy.
Qualified applicants should have experience with service-learning and
partnerships between schools, businesses and/or communities, excellent
communications skills, etc.
Salary is slated for the low $40's, depending upon experience. Ideal
starting date is March 31, 1997.
