Symposium on Political Education and the Modern University

Dear Service-learning Colleagues,

DePauw University Presents a Symposium on:
POLITICAL EDUCATION AND THE MODERN UNIVERSITY
April 7-12, 2003

In an era of historically low voter turnout, and with college students
often disengaged from the democratic process and indifferent to public
affairs, is there anything that universities can and should do to help
their students to be better citizens?  This questions will be addressed
by these prominent scholars and thinkers during a week-long symposium.

Featured speakers will include:
