New Website and Listserv: Better Buildings/Better Places
06 March 2003 02:06 UTC
Dear SL colleagues,
NEW WEBSITE AND LISTSERVE dedicated to placemaking, architecture, and
improving communities
Want to increase your building's security while preserving public
access? Make your building serve as a "good neighbor" to the surrounding
community? Or even make money from your public spaces?
Find out how by visiting www.better-buildings.org. The "Better
Buildings/Better Places" website features dozens of articles, case
studies, success stories, research, and "toolkits" that address a range
of issues, including:
· maximizing a building's economic potential
· furnishing community-friendly public places
· working with BIDs
· traffic calming
· and more...
LISTSERVE
The "Better Buildings" listserve is dedicated to connecting those people
with each other. Listserve members can ask questions and share answers,
communicate, debate issues with their peers - and contribute new ideas
for the website. Sign up for the "Better Buildings" listserve here:
