Stand-alone course and service exchanges

Once upon a time (pre-computer crash) I had a fair assortment of examples on 
stand-alone service learning courses.  I have since lost this information and 
am looking for examples and information on such courses, those possibly 
categorized under political science (civic engagement), and those that do some 
sort of service exchange project (alternative spring break and such.)
