MI Jrnl Special Offer
22 March 2002 21:33 UTC
Dear Colleagues,
The Michigan Journal of Community Service Learning (MJCSL) has a special offer:
BUY A SUBSCRIPTION TO THE JOURNAL AND RECEIVE A COMPLIMENTARY
"SERVICE-LEARNING COURSE DESIGN WORKBOOK."
The MJCSL is a national, peer-reviewed journal publishing articles on
research, pedagogy, theory, and other matters pertinent to curriculum-based
service-learning in higher education. We are in our eighth year, publish
two issues each year, and have 1400 subscribers.
The "Service-Learning Course Design Workbook" is written by Jeffrey Howard,
editor of the MJCSL, and clarifies the conceptualization for academic
service-learning and walks the reader through a design process for a
service-learning course. Some campuses have ordered up to 100 copies for
their service-learning faculty. To date more than 5,000 copies are in
circulation. (The publication and free distribution of 4,000 copies was
originally funded by the Corporation for National Service.)
An individual subscription to the MJCSL is $16.00, and an institutional
subscription is $22.00. The workbook usually sells for $12.00, but is free
with a subscription. This is the complete cost; there are no additional
postage or handling charges.
To order, visit our web site at: www.umich.edu/~mjcsl/
This offer is good until April 15, 2002.
Thank you.
Jeff
