VISTA Opening

VISTA OPENING IN THE GREAT STATE OF WASHINGTON

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, sponsored by the American Red
Cross Tacoma-Pierce County Chapter, has an AmeriCorps *VISTA position open
in the Sumner/East Pierce County area.

Responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:

                        *  Recruiting and placing retired and senior 
volunteers;
                        *  Building literacy coalitions;
                        *  Developing funding sustainability;
                        *  Building community involvement;
                        *  Providing statistical reports and narratives.

The right candidate will have knowledge of adult educational needs,
volunteer management, and  strong administrative and organizational skills

Monthly living stipend, health insurance, vacation, holiday and sick leave
are provided with an end of service lump sum stipend or educational award.

Service is 40 hours per week for one year.  Service begins in July. 
Training is provided.
