The following message is from a colleague of mine. She's not on the list
but I forwarded your message to her because I know she's working on career
development. Please respond directly to her in response to this message.
Thanks.

I too, am looking for career development information, but specifically for
environmental careers and targeted to middle and high school youth. (It's
for my master's thesis...) Does anyone know of information on strategies
used to help students become aware of and explore science/environmental
careers (or even just careers in general)? THANKS! see below for some
env. resources...

I'm going to suggest something broader but very useful:
The Pathfinder by Nicholas Lore
This is an inexpensive trade paperback ($14) that leads one through a
series of exercises more thorough and comprehensive than I've ever seen. I
used the book (and their career test) and have rearranged my life. The
reflections that the book suggests would help anyone thinking about a
career in service to check out its appropriateness based on that
individual's aptitudes, values, purpose, internal processing, etc. I
recommend it highly.
