Position Announcement: Project Coordinator

CHP International, Inc. has recently been awarded the cooperative agreement
to provide training and technical assistance to the Corporation for
National
Service in the area of Program Management.
We will be hiring two National Project Coordinators for the project.
National Project Coordinators will work full time and be based in CHP's Oak
Park, IL office. They will perform planning, outreach, logistics, and
training functions. They will travel frequently to sites to manage and
conduct training and technical assistance activities. The Project
Coordinators will report to the Project Director and be supported by a full
time administrative staff person.
National Project Coordinators must have experience with volunteerism,
training, training management and logistics, program and staff development,
networking, and outreach. They must also have experience interacting and
coordinating with CNS senior staff at the state level (e.g., state
commissions, state offices, and state education agencies). Competitive
Coordinator candidates should also have experience with the Corporation for
National Service Programs (grantees and sub-grantees), peer assistance
networks, provision of technical assistance on a state or national level,
and/or educating adults in a related skill area.
Technical skill areas include: personnel and volunteer recruitment,
training,
management, and retention (including requirements related to civil rights
and
diversity); program design and implementation; participatory needs
assessment; measuring program impacts; community partnerships; use of
computers for program management; developing networks with affinity and
community groups and other CNS programs; and grant writing and management.
