Student Guide to International Service Opportunities
07 July 1999 16:26 UTC
Dear Colleagues,
I will add one more "do you have any resources" request to the growing
list and thank you in advance for your suggestions.
Has anyone in higher ed. created somthing resembling a "Student Guide to
*International* Service Opportunities"? I'm not so much interested in
which organizations have service opportunities for students (that info.
has been posted frequently on this server) but in:
* "Marketing ideas"
**Creative Ways to gain credit for, or integrate a non-credit service
program into a student's overall college experience.
(At present, the University of Pittsburgh has relatively few
opportunities for students to gain credit via service learning).
If you have a sample copy of a guide/brochure/website like this, I would
much appreciate taking a look. This is part of a directed study
project for my Master's degree in International Education and a
compliment to the "Global Service Initiative" at the University of
Pittsburgh.
Kindly,
Jamie Phillips
