AmeriCorps Member Opportunity:
*Part-time (see below for full-time option) - 10 hours per week, afternoons,
during the school year, 20 hours per week, mornings, during the summer
*Two year position (Sept. 1998 - Aug '00, including summers)
*Living allowance: $93.40
*Educational award: $2,363 (upon completion of 900 hours of service)
The part-time teacher/youth leaders work in teams with other college and
high school students and serve as teachers and mentors for pre-teens and
bilingual high school students in Cambridge after-school and summer
programs, develop and run educational activities, and create and implement
community service projects to benefit the entire community.
Qualifications: Teachers/youth leaders must be :
*Age 17 or older
*U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident alien
*Able to commit to two years of service
*Responsible, caring leaders and strong role models
*Interested in education and committed to helping others learn
*Excited about serving with a really fun, talented team of college, high
school, and out-of-school youth

We are also accepting applications for one full-time TEAM LEADER. This
opportunity is:
*full time for one year (Sept. 98 - Aug. 99)
*30+ hours per week
*Living allowance: $8,340
*Educational award: $4,725 (upon completion of 1700 hours of service)
*Health Benefits and Child Care Allowance.
Qualifications:
*Age 20 or older
*Have experience with community service and working with youth
*U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident alien
*Able to commit to one year of full-time service
*Responsible, caring leaders and strong role models
*Interested in education and committed to helping others learn
*Excited about serving with a really fun, talented team of college, high
school, and out-of-school youth
