Dear Colleagues:
I am in the process of writing a couple of articles for the NSEE's
Quarterly research column. One column, due out early next year, will
highlight recent completed dissertations that have focused on experiential
education issues.
If you have recently completed a dissertation (or will be completing one in
the next few months) on an issue related to experiential education and
would like your dissertation to be considered for discussion in the column,
please contact me at the address below. I will be writing the short
article in the next few months.
I should also mention that the National Society for Experiential
Education's Research Committee continues to compile a bibliography of
recent research on experiential education which includes school-to-work,.
interships, cooperative education, service-learning, field education and
many other forms of experiential education. We are always looking for new
studies to include in the bibliography and welcome recommendations from all
in the field who know of studies that should be included. Please contact
me if you have any recommendations, suggestions or questions about the
bibliography. An update of the bibliography is provided at our Research
Committee meetings during NSEE's National Conference. (This year the
conference will be held in Kansas City, October 22-25. This year's focus
is "Reflecting on Practice: Quality and Leadership in Experiential
Education").
Best wishes with your experiential education efforts.
