Search for articles & syllabi

Hello all,
Our institution has just begun some serious discussions about
service-learning, and I've been doing a lot of research lately! This
list and the s-l archives (among other things) have been extremely
helpful, but I'm still in search of the following information. I'm
wondering if anyone can help me out!

1. Articles on the institutionalization of service-learning at other
colleges. How have other places structured programs; what lessons have we
learned? I'm from a small rural liberal arts college, but anything would
be helpful. I need some very practical "case study" type things.

2. Syllabi of courses for college student adult literacy tutoring
programs. (The local agency is doing the tutor training; a professor
needs some examples of what she can do on her end.)

3. A question: When doing a library search for articles, etc., which
databases are s-l materials in? I've had some luck with education
databases, but not good luck with databases dealing with social work
issues, for example. I have access to first-search and others. Or is
there a better way to go than "traditional library research"?

Thanks, in advance, for your help!!

Jenny
