We are in the third year of a Service Learning program. Up until
now, the serivce project for all of the courses has been an after
school tutoring program. We now have several new faculty members
who want to teach service learning courses, so, together with
community partners, I am developing new service projects.
There is a community agency interested in working with us on drug
prevention and education programs for middle school aged
children. Can anyone out there give me suggestions for projects
that might be appropriate for college students to become involved
in? The community partner is open to ideas for new drug
prevention programs that would include our students, so I am
looking for some creative ideas.
I'd appreciate any assistance or advice.
Thanks in advance for your help.
