There is a K-6 service-learning curriculum guide available from Sally
Beisser at Iowa State Universtiy in Ames, IA. The guide is a collaboration
of professors, classroom teachers, teacher education students, and others
interested in incorporating service learning into the regular education
curriculum. The guide includes sample lesson plans with activities
connected to specific subject areas, a list of children's books, websites,
videos, agencies, and much more. To obtain a copy please send $5 and your
