I'm a doctoral student at the University of Maryland who is designing
her dissertation on the topic of the outcomes of service,
particularly focused on social and civic responsibility. I'm
currently deciding on my methodology and am debating between grounded
theory (qualitative) and quantitative. Either method fits my
research question.
Here's where your help comes in! If any of you know of instruments,
surveys, or studies related to these topics, I'd appreciate any
information. Also, if any of you have strong feelings about which
methodology would better inform the current state of service-
learning, I'd also love to hear from you. I plan to complete my
dissertation by May and am willing to share any results with you. If
you are interested, let me know.
