We are still accepting applications until openings are filled for our year-long training/coaching program which will begin with our upcoming Training of Facilitators/Trainers (TOFT). CHP International, Inc. (CHP) is the national Training and Technical Assistance provider for the Corporation for National and Community Service for Human Relations and Diversity. We are currently recruiting AmeriCorps and Learn & Serve program staff/volunteers or staff designated by the sponsoring organization to apply to our year-long training/coaching program to learn how to facilitate diversity workshops for AmeriCorps and Learn & Serve program staff and volunteers.
The year-long training/coaching program will begin with a 4.5 day Training of Facilitators/Trainers (TOFT) in San Antonio, TX from August 9-13, 2002. All travel costs for the TOFT will need to be covered by the applicant's sponsoring organization.
Selected applicants will be expected to commit to attending at least 2 CHP-sponsored workshops as Peer Facilitators over the next year, where they will participate as members of the facilitation team during all phases of the workshop----the preparation day, the workshop delivery, and the post-workshop debriefing session. Peer Facilitators will receive coaching at the 2 workshop events, as well as, through phone calls during the year to further develop their skills as Peer Facilitators. Travel costs for the 2 workshop events will also be the responsibility of the Peer Facilitator and/or the sponsoring organization.
