JOB ANNOUNCEMNT - ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

The East Bay Conservation Corps (EBCC) Charter School was created out of the belief that public schools must prepare children for the challenges, opportunities and responsibilities of life in a democratic, pluralistic society.  Through service-learning, the curriculum and culture of the school will integrate service, spiritual development and creative expression across a full range of academic subjects.  By engaging students in meaningful service as part of the school’s routine and in the larger community, we will prepare them to become enlightened citizens and stewards of the community and environment.

The EBCC is building a school culture founded not only on serious scholarship but also on artistic expression within the context of the civic, moral and spiritual development of students.  In September 2001, we will welcome the first primary students to our charter school in Oakland, California.  In partnership with the community, we are creating a new model for schools – one that prepares students to enter adulthood as thoughtful, compassionate and engaged citizens.
