Coordinator for Service-Learning Office of Community Service-Learning The University of Southern Mississippi Hattiesburg,
MS The University of Southern Mississippi’s Office of Community Service-Learning (OCSL) located in the Division of Student Affairs is looking for a dedicated service-learning professional to develop, manage, and provide leadership for the Volunteer Clearinghouse as well as coordinate the daily operations of the Office of Community Service-Learning. Responsibilities with the Clearinghouse include working with faculty, students, and community partners. The Coordinator will serve as the resource person for student-run service programs through OCSL, including V.I.S.I.O.N student service organization.
A Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. The individual must be familiar with community service and service-learning, able to perform multiple tasks with minimum supervision, able to work in team and individual settings, capable of initiating and completing tasks, and committed to working with diverse populations. Grant-writing skills and experience preferred. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
The University of Southern Mississippi is a comprehensive public institution with an enrollment of approximately 14, 500. It is the second largest institution of higher learning in Mississippi, offering 93 degree programs for undergraduates, 62 master’s degree programs, and 26 doctoral degree programs.
