Mentoring and tutoring adults

This Spring, we are going to have an Article and Feature Writing course that
is going to be doing service-learning. The professor would like the students
to tutor/mentor adults who are interested in learning how to write articles
for publication. Does anyone know of or have any resources on how to train
students to mentor adults? So often we have students mentoring children, but
never before have we had students working with adults. Does anyone have any
suggestions? Thanks.
