JOB OPENING: Service Learning and Student Volunteer Program Manager
at the University of Michigan-Flint.

The University of Michigan-Flint is a metropolitan university located
in downtown Flint. We have 6200 students, many of whom are working
part or full time,with an average age of 27. The service learning
program is two years old and already receiving recognition for the
range of activities and the number of students involved. We have a
database of approximately 600 students who have indicated an interest
in service activities, with over 100 involved in activities each
semester. The service learning office coordinates the Mott Scholars
program (a scholarship for service), America Reads program, service
learning courses, recruitment of Americorps members, tutor training
programs, and is involved in the local service learning consortium.

students, faculty, and community, we encourage you to consider our

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To provide overall support, direction, planning, oversight and
advancement of the programs, services, and activities of the Service
Learning and Student Volunteer Programs office. Includes
responsibility for management of program staff, course development,
grants writing and community relations.

EDUCATION: A Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field or an
equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.
Coursework in student personnel and student services desired.
SALARY RANGE: $25,000-$35,000.
