I'm in the process of revising our Service-Learning Handbook at the
University of Colorado - Boulder. One small piece of it is a "CU -
Boulder Policy on Service-Learning Placements,"* which our SL Faculty
Council devised almost two years ago now.
It serves to guide a faculty member (very broadly) when considering the
range of placements acceptable or appropriate for her/his service-learning
course. It also serves to protect the university's behind in certain
situations.
I'd like to include other such placement policies, if they exist. Please
email them to me or tell me where they might be on a web site (the URL
please).
In particular, does anyone know if Campus Compact (nationally) or NSEE,
etc. have a developed their own policies on placements?
