The Lowell Bennion Community Service Center at the University of Utah
published a new book in October titled SERVICE-LEARNING IN THE
CURRICULUM. This 86 page book is organized into 5 sections: 1)
service-learning defined and described; 2) a rationale for
institutionalizing service-learning; 3) practical, how-to section on
teaching service-learning courses; 4) appendicies the Bennion Center
has found useful for faculty over the past 4 years; and 5) an
